As usual, the 2022-23 Upper Deck Extended Series Hockey checklist extends the flagship numbering via the Base Set (#501-700) and 50 rookies. One change is that the rookie group is not limited to just Young Guns cards. It includes 30 Young Guns and 20 1st Round Rookies, a subset for ’22-23 rookies taken in the first round of the NHL Draft.

1997-98 SPx gives a nod to the die-cut NBA design with Sky Blue versions for the veterans and rookies. Another throwback option is 1999 History Class, issued for top veterans and rookies as well. The insert selection for 2022-23 Upper Deck Extended Series Hockey continues with another ’90s-inspired set: Black Diamond Dominance.
