- Upon release, the 664-card 1969 Topps Baseball checklist was the largest in the history of the sport. Although the sheer quantity is enough to make it stand out, ’69 Topps’ strong popularity is due to the many Hall of Fame names in the checklist, including Nolan Ryan’s first single-player Topps card.
